When Rogers Sports & Media set out to transform their hockey broadcast capabilities, they partnered with Diversified to design and build two new IP-based production control rooms and cutting-edge broadcast studios for Sportsnet.

Trade Sync was brought in to support the installation of the advanced display systems within the facility. Working alongside Diversified’s engineering and integration teams, Trade Sync helped install Samsung 1.5mm pixel pitch LED displays and large-format LCD monitors in 75″ and 98″ sizes throughout the studio environments.

The new studios were designed around SMPTE 2110 IP-based infrastructure with Evertz IP routing, creating one of the most advanced end-to-end broadcast production facilities in North America. The installation supports Sportsnet’s ability to produce immersive NHL broadcasts with enhanced data visualization, virtual production elements, and augmented reality graphics.

Despite the challenges of an aggressive timeline, pandemic restrictions, and global supply chain disruptions, the project was successfully delivered on schedule. The completed facility now allows Sportsnet to centralize its hockey operations and deliver more dynamic, interactive broadcasts for fans across Canada.
